Noe Co.
Noe Co.
In Noe Valley, one of San Francisco’s most sought-after neighborhoods, Noe + Co reimagines the ground floor of a historic mixed-use building as a coworking environment designed by Studio Plow. Set within a two-story Edwardian structure built in 1908, the project transforms a onceneglected commercial space into something more aligned with the scale and character of the surrounding homes, offering a more grounded alternative to traditional office settings.
Building on Plow’s ethos of reimagining workplace environments, the project brings those ideas into a more intimate setting. Noe + Co feels considered and human, a workspace where materiality and layout support both productivity and well-being.
Acquired by a local couple with deep ties to the neighborhood, the 821 square foot space presented both clear deterioration and strong potential. Within a compact footprint, the design required a full interior rework to accommodate five private office suites alongside shared amenities. The material palette balances a sense of permanence with a creative tone, supporting a workplace that values both independence and connection.
Noe + Co is designed to reflect the feeling of working from home: a sense of familiarity and ease. Built-in seating, warm wood tones, and soft textiles prioritize light, while custom elements designed in-house, including the dining table and millwork, anchor the shared spaces with intention. While each office has its own personality, they all include enough space for a guests, a worksurface, daylight, storage and display shelves for personal items.
