Casa de Arte

Casa de Arte

Located in the Pacific Heights District of San Francisco, a stone’s throw from some of the city’s most vibrant restaurants and shopping, is a beautifully renovated 1920s family residence. In transforming this classic San Francisco home for a return client, Studio Plow mixed rich textures and deep, earthy colors with timeless custom art pieces and furniture to elevate the home to the modern era.

After its most recent update in the dot-com era, the three-level 4,142 sq ft Bay Area house felt sterile and dated. The client for this interior renovation wanted to transform the space to feel warm and inviting as a comfortable refuge from the city.

Using soft-to-the-touch, tactile materials and rich, earthy tones, Plow designed a cozy yet expressive space to serve the young family’s needs.

To date, this has been the most art-intensive project for Plow. Inspired by the client’s love for fashion and art, as well as her Mexican heritage, the team tailored the design to uniquely encompass her vision. In creating a space where the worlds of art and interior design combine, the home looks beautiful and tells a story about the client’s interests and cultural identity.
